BOW LEG AESTHETICS
Crooked leg is a discomfort that occurs due to irregular fat distribution in the lower leg area. This condition, which causes a disproportionate, unaesthetic appearance on the legs, can be eliminated with bowleg aesthetics.
Crooked leg aesthetics, which is preferred for a shaped aesthetic leg appearance in women, is preferred for a strong muscular leg appearance in men. Bones are not intervened in bowleg aesthetics.
TREATMENT
There are two preferred methods in bowleg aesthetics: fat injection and silicone implant (prosthesis).
- Crooked Leg Aesthetics with Fat Injection: In this method, the fat taken from the upper leg is injected into the inner part of the calf after certain procedures.
- Crooked Leg Aesthetics with Silicone Implant (Prosthesis): It is the preferred treatment method when the patient’s body is not suitable for fat intake. It is used in weak people. Silicone implants are placed on the inner muscle tissue of the knee under the knee through a small incision. The implants used in bow leg aesthetics are similar to the implants used in breast aesthetics.
Crooked leg aesthetics is an easy surgical intervention method. An average operation time is between 1 and 1.5 hours. Local anesthesia is generally preferred during the operation. However, general anesthesia can also be used if the bowleg aesthetics is combined with liposuction.
Recovery Process After Crooked Leg Aesthetics
It is possible for the patient to be discharged on the same day after bowleg aesthetics. After the surgery, there may be swelling in the area, which increases continuously, and these swellings disappear 1 week after the surgery.
Patients are not recommended to stand for 1-2 weeks after bowleg aesthetics. After the surgery, the patient should stay away from sports for 1-1.5 months. It is recommended that the patient wear a corset and compression stockings for 2-3 weeks after bow leg aesthetics.
