BASIC HANDS ON IMPLANTOLOGY AND OVERDENTURE PROSTHESIS

Course Overview:

Implantology is the branch of dentistry that deals with the durable implantation of artificial teeth in the jaw (1). Oral and dental health is one of the most important factors that affect both our quality of life and our appearance. Regarding oral and dental health, missing tooth is one of the most challenging problem that people encounter in their life. Lack of teeth can seriously affect many things such as digestion, appearance, as well as our nutritional habits and nutritional quality (2). That’s why, Implantology is one of the most important subarea regarding dental health and it’s gaining significance day by day with developing dental technology.

Especially in recent years, Implantology and Dental Prosthesis treatment has been in great demand in many countries of the world and it is very necessary for more dentists to specialize in this field. At this training, with participants from around the world, you will learn about Implantology and Overdenture Prostheses from the beginning to the end, theoretically and practically.

The purpose of this educational training program is to educate dentists on the use of Overdenture Prostheses and Implantology.

The goal of the training program is to increase participants’ dexterity and provide them with practical, hands-on experience. Our training program adheres to the highest international standards.

This training program takes over the course of 3 days in total. First part of the training program consists of the theoretical training which the participants learn about key concepts in Implantology and Overdenture Prostheses applications.

Second part of the training program consists of the practically application of Implantology where participants will be able to get a hands-on-practice on an actual patient.

At the end of the training program, an internationally verified special certificate of participation will be issued to all participants.

Information About Doctors:

Dr. Perver Taştan

Dr. Taştan was born in Tatvan, Bitlis in 1978. He received his primary and secondary education in Tatvan. From 1999 to 2004, he studied at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry. During his first year as a dental student, he created a 4-meter dental sculpture, which is currently displayed at the entrance of the faculty. His exceptional talent was noticed by his professor, Prof. Dr. Senih ÇALIKOCAOĞLU, who gave him the nickname “Ten Golden Fingers.” While still a first-year student, he crafted Handmade German Silver Dental Models for seven individuals, including the then President Süleyman Demirel, during the official opening of the faculty. In his second year, he established his own company under the brand name “STUDENTAL” in Çapa, designing and producing products that were widely sold to dental faculties. In 2004, he opened his first clinic in Tatvan and eight months later, he established the Universal Medical Center Dental Clinic with two dental units. In 2010, he founded the Private Medident Oral and Dental Health Clinic with three dental units.

In 2010, he established Demodent. Demodent is a dynamic company that produces dental anatomy models, dental modeling blocks that enhance the manual skills of dental students, guide models, hand tools, and many other products. It designs and markets patient education models and implants for postgraduate dental education. It creates numerous models for hands-on courses, including resurrection models.

He has a patented invention called Dental Modeling Block.
He has worked on approximately 35 different dental product designs.
These products have been sold to 40 countries.
He continues his profession with the team he leads at Medxdent clinics in Tatvan and Istanbul.
